ANNOUNCEMENTS

Micro Church Launch, August 23rd

Life was never meant to be lived alone, and Micro Churches are one of the best ways to find community and grow in your faith. On Sunday, August 23, at 6:00 PM, our Ball Road and Knox Center Campuses will be hosting a Micro Church Launch. Whether you're already in a Micro Church or looking to join one for the first time, you'll enjoy a potluck dinner, meet great people, and experience what a typical Micro Church gathering is like. Visit onelifeknox.com/events to register or mark the Micro Church box on your Connection Card. Childcare will be provided.

MyOneLife - A 4-Week Sunday Morning Small Group Experience

The first step for every OneLifer to get involved and get to know our church culture and mission is a 4-week small group experience called MyOneLife. It takes place on Sunday mornings in the Meeting Room at each of our campuses. You’ll learn about the vision & values of our church, discover your personal mission & spiritual gifts, and find out tons of ways to get involved. The next MyOneLife will start Sunday, September 13th, so for more information or to sign up, mark the “MyOneLife” box on your Connection Card.

Baptism
If you’ve given your life to Jesus but haven’t gone public with your story through baptism, now is the time to take that step! Baptism is an opportunity to publicly declare your faith, celebrate God’s work in your life, and take the next step in your journey with Jesus. We would love to walk with you through this process, answer your questions, and help you experience the joy of declaring your faith through baptism.
Mark the baptism box on your Connection Card, and we’ll help you get started!

Bottom Line: Winning the battle starts with understanding the battle.

Ephesians 6:10-11 NLT

10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.

1. Following Jesus is not like a battle, it is a battle.

Ephesians 6:10-11 NLT

10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.

2. There is a real enemy actively fighting to win.

Ephesians 6:12 NLT

12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

3. The enemy is not who I think it is.

Ephesians 6:12 NLT

12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

4. There is more happening in the spiritual world behind the world I see.

Ephesians 1:19-22 NLT

19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power 20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. 21 Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. 22 God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church.

5. Jesus Christ is already winning the battle.

Ephesians 6:10 NLT

10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

MULTIPLICATION

Share spiritual/missional conversations you've had where you live, work, and play:
  - Who did you have a conversation with that took a spiritual/missional turn this week?
  - What questions did you ask to discover where God is at work in their life, even if they are not aware?
  - How were you able to share your story of life change or how you have experienced Jesus?
  - How can you be intentional this week with people where you live, work, and play to have spiritual/missional conversations if the opportunity arises?
  - Who in your life do you think could be disciple-able or open to spiritual/missional conversations?

WHAT'S NEXT?
  - Discuss the next step for your micro church. When will we gather again, and which purpose will it fulfill (missions, fellowship/care, growth, worship, multiplication)?
