If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.” 5 “No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said. “We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

1. Jesus is the only way to the Father.

3. Jesus is where we find everlasting life with God.
START TALKING:
This week we talked about a bold statement from Jesus in John 14:6 — that there is
only one path to God, and His name is Jesus.
We explored how in life there are often multiple ways to do things, but some things
can only be done one specific way. In the same way, the Bible teaches that Jesus is
not a way to God, but the way, the truth, and the life.
We saw that Jesus spoke these words to comfort His disciples shortly before His
crucifixion, showing them that He alone provides the way to the Father, the ultimate
truth, and everlasting life.
Discussion prompts:
Think of a time when there was only one way to accomplish something. How did that
make you feel?
Why do you think people struggle with the idea that Jesus is the only way to God?
What have you heard people say about how to get to heaven or have a relationship
with God?
