ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dwell: A Month of Prayer
This month, we’re intentionally focusing on prayer—slowing down, seeking Jesus, and learning to dwell in His presence. Every weekday, we’ll send a short devotional straight to your phone to help you pause, pray, and turn your attention to Him. Join us as we make space to dwell with Jesus and grow deeper in prayer together. Text DAILY to 94000 to join us!

Trunks, Treats, and Stars, October 23rd
Join us for a fun, family-friendly monster-themed fall night featuring a Trunk or Treat, games, food, photo opportunities, and a movie under the stars! The fun begins Friday, October 23 at 6:00 PM at both OneLife campuses. Kids are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite family friendly costumes, and families should bring a blanket or lawn chairs to settle in for our outdoor showing of Monsters, Inc. Mark your calendars, invite your friends, and join us for a monster of a night!

Help Us Make It a Monster of a Night!
Trunks, Treats, and Stars is just around the corner, and we need your help! Over the next couple of weeks, we’re collecting candy to help make this night a special one for the kids and families who join us. You can drop off candy donations in the white bins located in the lobbies at both campuses. Whether you bring one bag or a whole haul, every donation helps us make the night more fun and welcoming for our community. This is a simple way for everyone to jump in and be part of making Trunks, Treats, and Stars a success. So grab some candy the next time you’re at the store and bring it with you on Sunday! Let’s fill those bins and get ready for a monster of a night!

Baptism
If you’ve given your life to Jesus but haven’t gone public with your story through baptism, now is the time to take that step! Baptism is an opportunity to publicly declare your faith, celebrate God’s work in your life, and take the next step in your journey with Jesus. We would love to walk with you through this process, answer your questions, and help you experience the joy of declaring your faith through baptism.
Mark the baptism box on your Connection Card, and we’ll help you get started!

Bottom Line: When someone I love is in the battle, I can stand in the gap

START TALKING:
What is something you have experienced in life that felt like a battle you would never get through? Looking back, how did you see God working in the middle of it?

START THINKING:
Read Revelation 19:11–21 and Revelation 21:1–4.

These passages remind us that Jesus is coming back to finish what He started. The enemy may still be fighting, but the outcome has already been decided. One day, everything we battle against—sin, suffering, pain, and death—will be gone forever.
  • How does knowing that Jesus has already secured the victory change the way you view the battles you're facing today?
  • Why do you think it's sometimes difficult to trust God's promises when our circumstances haven't changed?
  • What does Revelation 21:1–4 reveal about God's heart for His people?

START SHARING:
Read 1 Corinthians 15:54–58.

Because we know how the battle ends, we can stand firm today. We can face adversity without losing hope, resist temptation without giving up, and continue serving even when we don't see results.

  • What battle are you currently facing that makes it difficult to stand firm in your faith?
  • Where are you most tempted to give up, lose hope, or question what God is doing?
  • How can we encourage and support one another as we continue fighting battles that aren't over yet?

START DOING:
This week, identify one area of your life where you've been allowing your circumstances to determine your confidence in God. Choose to stand firm in His promises instead of focusing on what you can see.

Take one intentional step of faith—whether that's continuing to pray, resisting a temptation, serving someone, or encouraging someone else who is in a battle.

Remember: We don't fight for victory. We stand firm because Jesus has already won.

START PRAYING:
  • Pray for strength: Ask God to help you stand firm in your faith, even when the battles you're facing feel overwhelming.

  • Pray for trust: Ask God to help you trust His promises and His ultimate victory, even when you can't see what He's doing.

  • Pray for perseverance: Pray for the courage to resist temptation, remain faithful, and keep serving even when you don't see results.

  • Pray for others: Lift up those around you who are facing battles. Ask God to give them hope, peace, and the reminder that they are not fighting alone.

  • Pray for eternity: Thank Jesus for the victory He has already secured and the promise that one day there will be no more pain, suffering, or death.

MULTIPLICATION

Share spiritual/missional conversations you've had where you live, work, and play:
  - Who did you have a conversation with that took a spiritual/missional turn this week?
  - What questions did you ask to discover where God is at work in their life, even if they are not aware?
  - How were you able to share your story of life change or how you have experienced Jesus?
  - How can you be intentional this week with people where you live, work, and play to have spiritual/missional conversations if the opportunity arises?
  - Who in your life do you think could be disciple-able or open to spiritual/missional conversations?
