----------------------------------------
START TALKING:
Think about your mom or your grandmother or another mother-like figure in your life. What did they or do they worry about? If you are a mom, what do you find yourself worrying about in the realm of motherhood and raising your kids?
Which of those worries are connected to worth and value? How could they be ultimately rooted in a worry about mattering?
START THINKING:
Read Luke 12:4-7
-Of whom are we not to be afraid? Why not?
-Who are we to fear? Why? What kind of fear is meant?
-What reason does Jesus give for not succumbing to fear?
-Describe a time when you felt like a “5th Sparrow”, worthless, insignificant, no value?
START SHARING:
Read Matthew 10:29-31
-What percentage of the time do you spend thinking about what God says about your value compared
to thinking about whether you matter to other people? 25/75? 60/40? 10/90?
- What are the things you tend to do to make yourself feel important?
What do each of these verses teach us about our true value
and significance? And then share how you have experienced each of these or how you struggle to live out each of these truths.
-Psalm 139:14-15
-Psalm 139:17-18
-Ephesians 2:10
START DOING:
The sparrow perspective means believing each of the truths below, rather than the lie compared to them. What can you do this week to apply each of these truths to your daily life?
The "Sparrow" Perspective // The "Worry" Perspective
- I am worth more than I realize. // I am only as good as my last mistake.
- God is in the details (the hairs). // I have to manage every detail myself.
- Falls happen, but God is there. // A fall is a catastrophe and a sign of failure.
- Trust the Father's budget. // There will never be enough.
How does living out the sparrow perspective impact the story you have to tell to your "one"? How do those far from God need to know that they can also have the sparrow perspective by following Jesus?
START PRAYING:
Pray for each person in the micro church to embrace the truth that their Father loves them unconditionally and gives us more than good enough in exchange for our not good enough. Pray that we each have an opportunity to share this truth and our story with our "one" this week!

MULTIPLICATION
Share spiritual/missional conversations you've had where you live, work, and play:
- Who did you have a conversation with that took a spiritual/missional turn this week?
- What questions did you ask to discover where God is at work in their life, even if they are not aware?
- How were you able to share your story of life change or how you have experienced Jesus?
- How can you be intentional this week with people where you live, work, and play to have spiritual/missional conversations if the opportunity arises?
- Who in your life do you think could be disciple-able or open to spiritual/missional conversations?

WHAT'S NEXT?
- Discuss the next step for your micro church. When will we gather again, and which purpose will it fulfill (missions, fellowship/care, growth, worship, multiplication)?/giveback/giveback

Bottom Line: Developing a sparrow perspective defeats a worry perspective.
Matthew 10:29-31 NLT
What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.
1. I matter more than I realize.
Matthew 10:29 NLT
