Next Week in Kid City - Amazon Rainforest
Calling all explorers! Get ready to search for clues that lead to a treasure buried deep in the Amazon Rainforest. Come dressed like an explorer to get your Rainforest stamp! Parents - help your child get a bonus stamp in their passport! After the service that day when you pick them up, there will be a bonus scavenger hunt activity for you and your child to complete together.
OneLife Students at the Smokies Baseball Game - July 5
Wednesday, July 5th OneLife Students will be headed to watch the Tennessee Smokies take on the Birmingham Barons. The cost is $25 per person, which includes food and a ticket to the game. To register click here. Also, parents you are invited to attend as well!
MyOneLife - Starts July 9
The first step for every OneLifer to get involved and get to know our church culture and mission is a 4-week small group experience called MyOneLife. It takes place on Sunday mornings during the 10:45am service in the Meeting Room at each of our campuses beginning July 9. You’ll learn about the vision & values of our church, discover your personal mission & spiritual gifts, and find out tons of ways to get involved. For more information or to sign up, check the “MyOneLife” box on your Connection Card.

BOTTOM LINE:
SALVATION/SAVED
To be rescued from serious and immediate danger.
Romans 5:8-9 NIV
8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!
1. WHAT AM I SAVED FROM?
The consequence of my sin - eternal separation from God.
Romans 5:8-9 NIV
8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!
2. WHO SAVES ME?
The only one able to save - Jesus.
3. WHAT AM I SAVED TO?
Freedom from the conseqence of my sin - eternal relationship with God.
John 8:34-36 NIV
34 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

What is a word or words that you thought you knew the meaning of that (turns out) meant something different than you thought?
When you think of the word Salvation (or Saved), what definition has come to mind?
Start Thinking
Read Romans 5:8-9 (NIV) and, thinking about the points from today’s message, answer the three basic questions from today:
Start Sharing
Why is it important to understand what we are saved from? How have YOU experienced the reality of being saved from it in your own life and what does that mean to you?
Why is it important that we understand WHO saves us? How have we/you gotten that confused in the past?
Start Doing
In light of what we are saved TO… how will/does this change the way you will live on mission where you live, work & play?
How will you tell your story of what you were saved from, who did the saving, and what you are saved to?
Start Praying
Pray for each other to embrace the three big questions of salvation that we’ve discussed tonight and that each person would have the opportunity to share their story this week!
