How Can One Life Make A Difference?
We live, we die. Then what? Will anyone remember me? What will I leave behind that really matters? 100 years from now will I be anything more than a name and the hyphen between two dates?
These are the questions - and others like them - that we all find ourselves asking at some point. At OneLife Church, we believe the answers can be found.
For each person, the journey to those answers may look different but the answer will always be the same: connection with God. Nothing else is permanent. Relationships, jobs, money, good deeds, you name it. It all comes to an end. Only a connection with God can empower a person to make a difference with their one life.
But how? Jesus, God's son, was the perfect example. Because he knew that only a connection or relationship with God was permanent, he lived his life that way. He fed the hungry, clothed the naked, healed the sick, and forgave sin. What was the result? Time was split in two. A movement began. History was changed forever. One life made a difference.
No matter where you've been or what you've done. No matter what has happened or hurt you. No matter how good or how bad. We're all the same. We can make a difference. We can connect with God. We can leave this earth having made a huge difference with our lives.
