Give Back
At OneLife, it’s not about us. The Bible even teaches that “pure and undefiled religion” is caring for the least in society (James 1:27) and that we should be like Jesus who came to serve, not be served (Mark 10:45). With that in mind we encourage OneLifers to get involved in the church and the community by giving back and seeing their one life make a difference in the process. There are two ways that we as individuals and a church give back...
Time and Talents
Giving of one’s time and talents is a way OneLife gives back to the community. Rather than duplicating efforts by starting our own agendas, OneLife seeks to partner with other ministries and civic organizations to team together.
More specifically to OneLife Church, many opportunities for volunteers are available on Sunday morning, throughout the week, and through our relationship with Powell High School. For more information visit the get involved page or email volunteer@onelifeknox.com.
Financially
Each week OneLife gives back through finances. Not only does God tell his followers that he gives it all and trusts us to give back 10% (Malachi 3:10, 1 Corinthians 16:2) but practically speaking this allows OneLife to give back to the community and make a difference for those who need it most.
Through OneLife’s involvement in what is called the Cooperative Program, a portion of every weekly offering goes to support hunger relief, orphanages, homes for developmentally disabled adults, disaster relief, tutoring, and food and school supplies for families in Knoxville’s government housing projects. Individual financial gifts can be given by dropping it in the bucket during our Sunday worship services, by mailing it throughout the week to our P.O. Box, or by automated giving through electronic bank draft.
